The Problem

A small food business still recorded sales manually. The owner, who is dealing with a serious illness, struggled to find time to reconcile daily income accurately, leaving room for errors and employee fraud.

What I Built

A full-stack POS with a cashier transaction flow, an owner dashboard, WhatsApp daily reports (Fonnte), thermal receipt printing, and PDF/Excel export.

Hard Problem I Solved

The hardest part wasn't the code — it was understanding what the owner actually needed. She runs the business while dealing with a serious illness, isn't technical, and couldn't spare time to learn a complex tool. I had to translate vague, real-world pain points into a system simple enough that she could use it with no training, while still capturing every transaction for fraud prevention and accurate reporting. Getting that balance — powerful enough to be useful, simple enough to be effortless — was the real challenge.

What I Learned

How to turn a real person's pain points into working software, and how to handle messy production-deployment issues (storage paths, CORS, server config) that never show up in tutorials.
